Former State Representative and Eunice Mayor Curtis Joubert became the first member of the LSU Eunice Bengal Hall of Fame at the University's second Hall of Fame Banquet. Joubert was honored for his unyielding support of Bengal Athletics since its inception.

Joubert and Judge Ellis Daigle were founding members of the Bengal Booster Club in 2000. Following his retirement from public service, Joubert dedicated himself to being a die-hard supporter for LSU Eunice and for Bengal Athletics.

He hosted fund raising events, socials, and cookouts for the Bengals while working with various media outlets to publicize LSU Eunice events.
