Former LSU Eunice Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Stephen Guempel became the second member of the LSU Eunice Bengal Hall of Fame in 2012.  He currently serves on the board of the Bengals Athletic Committee and helps orchestrate the yearly Hall of Fame Gala.

Guempel was honored for his leadership in laying the ground work to form athletic programs at the university in mid 1990s.
