Comeaux advanced to second on a wild pitch, stole third and scored when
Micah McHugh (Zachary, La.) reached on an error to push the Bengals up 2-0.
Brookhaven (1-6) closed the gap to 2-1 in the top of the second inning when Anthony Orta doubled and scored on a wild pitch.
LSUE added two more runs in the bottom of the inning, sparked by a single from
Cameron Horton (Benton, La.) who stole second and advanced to third on a wild pitch.
Bourgeois walked and stole second before a single from Comeaux drove in two runs to give LSUE a 4-0 advantage.
The Bengals broke the game open in the bottom of third, begun when McHugh walked,
Anthony Forte (Hoffman Estates, Il.) doubled and both scored on a double by
Koi Westbrook (Carencro, La.).
Horton singled in Westbrook scored, while
Bo Myers (Zachary, La.)doubled to keep the rally going. Bourgeois was hit by pitch and Comeaux doubled in Myers and Horton.
Comeaux stole third and then touched home plate when
Michael Claverie (Denham Springs, La. ) doubled.
Hunter Feduccia (Lake Charles, La.) singled and then Claverie scored on a wild pitch, while McHugh singled in Feduccia.
McHugh scored on a hit by McHugh scored as the Bengals pushed ahead, 13-1.
LSUE added two more runs in the bottom of the fifth, sparked by back-to-back doubles by Feduccia and
Joe Faulk (Crowley, La), who later scored on a hit by
Brent Hebert (Rayne, La.).
The Bengals continued its offensive barrage with three more runs in the sixth inning as LSUE forged ahead, 18-1.
Jacob Richard (Carencro, La.) singled and scored on a hit by Claverie.
Austin Kirkpatrick (Breaux Bridge, La.) singled, Faulk walked before Forte's double drove in Kirkpatrick and Claverie.
Brookhaven scored a run in the top of the seventh when Colton Maiorka reached on an error and scored on a hit by Kyle Kincaid.
Comeaux went 3-for-4 with five RBI and two runs scored to lead the Bengal bats.
Claverie finished 2-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored. Westbrook went 2-for-3 with three RBI and a run scored, while Feduccia went 2-for-3 with two runs scored.
Horton also went 2-for-3 with a RBI and two runs scored.Forte finished 2-for-5 with two RBI and a run scored, while McHugh went 1-for-2 with two RBI and a runs scored.
LSUE faces Brookhaven again on Saturday at 1 p.m.
