EUNICE, La. – LSU Eunice Baseball has been awarded Team Academic Excellence by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA), the organization announced this week.  It is the tenth straight year the Bengals have qualified for the prestigious honor.
 
The ABCA honors high school and college programs coached by ABCA members that post a cumulative Grade Point Average over 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.  LSU Eunice posted a team GPA during the 2025-2026 academic year of 3.52.
 
The 3.52 team grade point average is the best in program history, marking the second straight academic year that LSUE Baseball has set the team record for team GPA.
 
LSU Eunice is one of only 44 junior college institutions to receive the honor, and the only team from Louisiana.  They are one of seven colleges and universities in the Bayou State to qualify for Team Academic Excellence.
