LSUE (42-9) closes the regular season this weekend with a three-game series at Ranger College. A doubleheader is set for 1 p.m. Saturday with a noon game on Sunday.
The Apaches (30-19) grabbed a 1-0 lead in the top of the first when Taylor Broadway reached on a fielder's choice and scored on a Bengal error.

Tyler retook a 3-1 advantage with two runs in the top of the fourth inning, begun when Jarel McDade walked and scored on a throwing error.
Blaze Beason walked and scored on a hit by Matt Mikusek to give the Apaches back the lead.
Broadway homered in the top of the fifth to push Tyler ahead, 4-1 but the Bengals quickly responded to jump back ahead.

The Bengals threatened in the eighth and the ninth innings but could not score as Tyler held on for the 7-5 win.
