Box Score EUNICE, La. –
Jaleya Gold (Bolton HS) sparked a dominant night with 21 points for LSU Eunice in a 100-52 rout of Lone Star College-Cy-Fair. The win continues the Bengals' win streak, now at 11 games.
The two teams were tied at 7-7 early in the first quarter before the Bengals flexed their muscle. LSUE outscored the Falcons 42-11 in the first half to take a 31-point lead into the halftime break.
LSU Eunice (14-2) ran its lead up more in the fourth quarter by opening the final frame on a 17-3 run.
The Bengals employed a balanced attack with four players in double figures and 11 of the 12 players scoring points on the evening.
Arianna Dargin (Iowa HS) (18 points),
Bethany Broussard (Iowa HS) (12 points) and
Rylie James (Basile HS) (12 points) joined Gold among double digit scorers.
Gold's 21 points falls two points shy of her career high of 23 scored last year vs. Delgado CC.
