Box Score EUNICE, La. – Six players in double figures helped lead the way for an impressive 111-44 romp of Lone State College-Cy-Fair. The victory improves LSUE's win streak to 12 games, the third longest in school history.
The 111 points are the most scored for a Bengals team under Amanda Clemons and the most since a 115-point effort against Southwestern Adventist University on November 6, 2010.
The Bengals found themselves in a tightly contested game early, tied with the Falcons 12-12 early in the first quarter. LSUE then ripped off a 49-2 run to help the Bengals go ahead 64-21 at the halftime break.
Riley James led all scorers with 18 points on the afternoon. The sophomore moved past Kayla Armstrong (825 points) to 3
rd all-time in LSUE history with 829 points.
All 12 Bengals scored points on the afternoon including 51 bench points. De'Asia Dixon (12 points) and Arianna Dargin (11 points) led the way for the reserves while Jaleya Gold (14 points), Sissy Saucier (11 points) and Whitney Landry (11 points) also poured in double digits.
The Bengals close out the non-conference schedule with East Texas Baptist University on Friday, January 26. Tip-off from inside the HPRE Center is schedule for 6:00PM.
