The game was a make-up of a postponed January 6 contest due to severe weather in the Gulf Coast region.

Pearl River held the advantage virtually wire-to-wire building a double-digit lead late in the first quarter on the heels of a 17-4 run.  Destiny Williams paced Pearl River with 15 of her 20 points in the first half as LSUE trailed 38-19 at the break.

LSU Eunice's 16-game win streak began with a 74-65 victory over Pearl River back on November 16.  The winning span lasted a total of 18 games with two being forfeits by Southern-Shreveport.  It tied the school record set by the 2013-14 squad.
