EUNICE, La. – For the second time in as many games, LSU Eunice was in an up-and-down shootout with Angelina College, falling to the No. 25 Roadrunners 84-80 on Tuesday inside the HPRE Center. 
 
LSU Eunice took a 69-67 lead with under five minutes to play after Le'Shenae Stubblefield (Delhi, LA, Delhi HS) drove to the basket and finished with an acrobatic lay-up.  The two teams would go back and forth in the final moments before Angelina took an 82-77 lead with under a minute to play.
 
Claralee Richard (Sulphur, LA, Sulphur HS) would bank in a three-pointer to cut the deficit to 82-80 with 22.9 seconds left.  LSUE would get two attempts to try to tie the time, but both would fall by the wayside.
 
The Bengals roared out to a hot start in the game, building as large as a nine-point lead, 28-19, in the first half.  Stubblefield poured in 13 of her 19 points before intermission as LSUE trailed 35-34 at the break.
 
The freshman duo of Ke'Maesha St. Andre (Oakdale, LA, Oakdale HS) and Alona Washington (Gonzales, LA, Ascension Christian HS) shined in the second half with some of the Bengals' starters saddled with foul trouble.  St. Andre scored 15 points on the night, while Washington bucked all 10 of her points in the third quarter.
 
LSUE will stay at home for an in-state showdown against Bossier Parish CC on Friday, November 22.  The action from the HPRE Center is scheduled for 5:00PM and can be seen on Bengals All-Access.
