Box Score EUNICE, La. – LSU Eunice used a pair of big runs to help take down Bossier Parish CC, 93-77, on Friday at the HPRE Center.  It's the Bengals' (3-4) second straight win over the Cavaliers and have won four of the last five matchups between the two Bayou State schools.
 
LSUE found itself in an early double-digit hole as BPCC raced out to a 20-9 edge near the end of the first quarter.  The Bengals would rally, ripping off a 15-4 run to tie the game at 24-24. 
 
Le'Shenae Stubblefield (Delhi, LA, Delhi HS) led the LSUE charge in the first half, scoring 13 of her game-high 23 points before intermission as the Bengals took a 41-34 lead into the locker rooms.  Stubblefield added eight rebounds on the evening.
 
The game would take another turn as the Cavaliers answered back in the third quarter, regaining the lead before both teams would enter the final quarter tied 61-61. 
 
BPCC would score the first six points of the fourth quarter before LSUE would rattle off an impressive 22-2 run to take a commanding lead with less than three minutes to play.  LSUE's pressure defense would play a pivotal role in that span, and the game, forcing 27 turnovers that resulted in 24 Bengal points.
 
Trastasia Hester (Houma, LA, Ellender HS) played a key role in the final frame, scoring eight of her nine points in the fourth quarter.
 
Claralee Richard (Sulphur, LA, Sulphur HS) recorded a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds, while 
Miya McKinney (Ville Platte, LA, Ville Platte HS) bucketed 16 points off the bench.
 
LSUE will hit the road during Thanksgiving week for a two-day stay at the ECCC Classic in Decatur, Mississippi.  The Bengals will play the homestanding Warriors on Monday, November 25 at 1:00PM, followed by a Tuesday, November 26 matchup against Meridian CC at 11:00AM.
