Box Score EUNICE, La. – A late McLennan CC push in the fourth quarter was too much for LSU Eunice as the Bengals fell, 71-67, on Saturday inside the HPRE Center. The contest began a five-game homestand in the month of December for the Bengals (5-5).
LSUE held a 51-49 edge going into the final frame after a mini-run, outscoring the Highlassies 23-16 in the third quarter. McLennan would use an 8-0 spurt to begin the fourth quarter and the Bengals couldn't rally.
The Bengals were led by 17 points from
Ava Jones (Carencro, LA, Carencro HS) including a perfect 5-for-5 from the free throw line.
Le'Shenae Stubblefield (Delhi, LA, Delhi HS) added 13 points while
Miya McKinney (Ville Platte, LA, Ville Platte HS) poured in 1 points off the bench.
McLennan was led by a game-high 24 points from Jade Bradley.
LSUE will be back in action next Saturday, December 14 against Coastal Bend College. The game is set for a 2:00PM start time from the HPRE Center.
