Box Score WESTWEGO, La. – LSU Eunice used a stingy defensive effort to secure a 77-31 road win over Delgado CC on Saturday at the Alario Center. The Bengals (15-3) improved their win streak to 13 games.
LSUE held Delgado to under seven points in three of the four quarters. The Bengals forced 28 turnovers and limited the Dolphins to just 10-for-54 (18.5) from the floor.
Sissy Saucier (Ragley, LA, South Beauregard HS) helped LSU Eunice race out to an 11-0 lead to start the game, scoring 7 of her team high 17 points in that spurt. The Bengals outscored Delgado CC 20-6 in the first quarter and never looked back.
All 13 Bengals on the roster scored at least a basket with
Claralee Richard (Sulphur, LA, Sulphur HS) the only other LSUE player to record double digit points (16 points).
LSUE can clinch its second consecutive LCCAC title with a win Wednesday at Baton Rouge CC. The Bengals and Bears open up their doubleheader from Bonne Sante Wellness Center at 5:30PM.
