Box Score EUNICE, La. – LSU Eunice overcame a late third quarter deficit to stay unbeaten in LCCAC play with an 84-65 victory over Delgado CC on Wednesday at the HPRE Center.  The Bengals (12-2, 7-0 LCCAC) own a four-game lead in the LCCAC standings after taking home their 35th straight win in conference play.
 
The Bengals found themselves in a 47-46 hole with 2:42 left in the third quarter.  LSUE would regroup to rattle off a 16-4 run through the early moments of the fourth quarter to take the lead for good.  
Alona Washington (Gonzales, LA, Ascension Christian HS) would help guide the comeback, scoring 15 of her team-high 21 points after half time.
 
Trastasia Hester (Houma, LA, Ellender HS) (15 points) and 
Tahjea Smith (Texas City, TX, Texas City HS)h (14 points) would also score the majority of their points in the second half to help pace LSUE to another double-digit victory.
 
LSUE went into the half trailing 35-32 after a buzzer beating three pointer from Delgado.   Hester led the LSUE cause with six first half points, all coming in the second quarter.
 
The Bengals close out their weeklong four game home stand Saturday with an afternoon tilt against Southern-Shreveport.  The Bengals and Jaguars will tip-off at 2:00PM.
