EUNICE, La. – A late run in the second half dealt LSU Eunice Women's Basketball 72-63 setback to Murray State College on Friday at the HPRE Center. It was the Bengals' (0-3) home opener for the 2022-23 season.

The Bengals would take control early in the third quarter as their lead hovered around five points halfway through the frame. That's when Murray State would come alive, sparking a 21-3 spurt over the next ten minutes to take a 57-44 lead with 6:26 to play.
LSU Eunice would fight back, clawing to within four points late 65-61, but an old fashioned three-point play with 1:03 left put the game on ice.
