EUNICE, La. – LSU Eunice Women's Basketball hung tough early, but Blinn College was too much to overcome, as the Bengals fall 80-53 at home on Wednesday at the HPRE Center. The contest against the unbeaten and second ranked Buccaneers was the Bengals' (1-9) third against NJCAA Top 20 competition.
The Bengals were able to fight early against the Buccaneers, tying the game 10-10 late in the first quarter. LSUE erased an early six-point deficit with an 8-2 run to help knot it up.
Kaylan Jack (Baton Rouge, LA, Madison Prep Academy) led that charge with four of her six points in that span.
Blinn would charge out of the gate to start the second quarter, using a 10-0 run to begin the frame. The Bucs would lead the rest of the game by at least double digits.
Braille Washington (Rayne, LA, Rayne HS) would pace the Bengals, scoring 13 points off the bench.
LSUE closes out its four-game homestand with a Saturday, December 10 matchup against Southwest Mississippi.
