LSUE Dealt Overtime Heartbreaker by Delgado

EUNICE, La. – LSU Eunice Women's Basketball faltered late in overtime as the Bengals suffered a 74-66 setback to Delgado CC on Saturday at the HPRE Center.  It was the home finale of the season for the Bengals (7-16 overall, 3-4 LCCAC).

LSUE took a three-point lead into the fourth quarter and had a chance to win in regulation before a three point effort was short.  The Bengals trailed 69-66 with 2:03 to go in overtime before the Dolphins closed it out on a 5-0 run.

Princis Goff (Atlanta, LA, Atlanta HS) did her best to fend off Delgado, scoring a career-high 25 points while adding a team-high 11 rebounds for her fifth double-double of the season.  Braille Washington (Rayne, LA, Rayne HS) was the other double digit point scorer, adding 11 off the bench.

LSUE will close out the regular season this week, beginning with a Wednesday game at Southern-Shreveport.  The Bengals will then await their fate for the upcoming Region 23 Tournament.
