SHREVEPORT, La. – LSU Eunice Women's Basketball saw its 2022-23 season come to an end after a 62-53 setback to Southern-Shreveport on Wednesday.  LSUE (7-17 overall, 3-5 LCCAC) finishes third in LCCAC play and will not qualify for the upcoming Region 23 Tournament.
 
LSUE went back-and-forth with the Jaguars much of the night, actually holding a 46-43 advantage going into the fourth quarter.  The Bengals were outscored 20-9 in the final frame.
 
Princis Goff (Atlanta, LA, Atlanta HS) continued her strong finish to the season, scoring a team-high 18 points and 13 rebounds for her sixth double-double of the season.
 
Dayla Simon (Longville, LA, South Beauregard HS) added eight points while Shayla Hickerson (Ville Platte, LA, Ville Platte HS) tallied seven.
