EUNICE, La. – LSU Eunice Baseball will officially kick off the construction of its new stadium with a groundbreaking celebration on Friday, July 26. The ceremony will take place in the shadows of the original Bengal Stadium on the LSUE campus as construction has already commenced.

The new baseball stadium will be a state-of-the-art facility, giving LSUE Baseball one of the best facilities in the country. The turfed field will feature amenities such as covered chairback seating for attendees, improved concessions and fan shop. The artificial surface will allow the new Bengal Stadium to serve as a multi-purpose facility, serving the local community for athletic and entertainment events.
The construction of the baseball stadium will be in two phases. The first phase, which is currently underway, will see the completion of the artificial turf field, dugouts, and chairback seating. The baseball team is expected to compete on the new field during the 2025 season. The second phase will take place following the completion of next season, constructing the covering among other amenities.
