LSUE Cruises Past Southern-Shreveport

SHREVEPORT, La. – LSU Eunice Women's Basketball continued its dominance in LCCAC play with a convincing 93-53 road win at Southern-Shreveport on Wednesday.  The Bengals (18-9, 7-0 LCCAC) not only moved their win streak to 12 games, but secured at least a share of the 2024-2025 Louisiana Community Colleges Athletic Conference regular season championship.
 
LSU Eunice will aim to capture an outright LCCAC title and its sixth conference championship in program history on Saturday as the Bengals host Delgado.  The Sophomore Night game is scheduled for a 6:00PM tip-off from the HPRE Center on the LSUE Campus.
 
The Bengals held down the Jaguars from start to finish, using a 60-point second half to run away with the victory.  Every LSUE player that made the trip to the Port City scored in the win.
 
The 40-point margin of victory helped LSUE push its average margin of victory in LCCAC play to an impressive 28 points per game.
 
LSUE had five players score in double figures, headlined by Simone Clay (Bloomington, MN, Bloomington Jefferson HS) recording a game-high 23 points, 17 coming after halftime.  Trinity Thomas (Walker, LA, Walker HS) added 15 points while Kamiera McDonald (Baton Rouge, LA, Scotlandville HS) posted 13 points.  Ray'Onna Sterling (Vacherie, LA, Walker HS) and Mariah Heard (Bastrop, LA, Bastrop HS) each poured in 10 points in the win.
