Box Score EUNICE -- Despite former Basile High School's 
Rylie James putting 25 points on the board for the Lady Bengals, LSU Eunice lost to LSU Alexandria junior varsity team 81-70 here Monday.
The lead changed several times early on in the first period with both teams scoring 21 points.  In the second period, the two teams matched each other basket for basket until the end of the half when LSUA opened up a four-point lead to go into the locker room at the half ahead 37-33.
After being down 10 points at one point, LSUE pulled to win 2 points of taking the lead in the final period, but LSUA's junior varsity squad pulled away in the final minutes as Rylie James and Syndey Haydon fouled out of the game.
James led the Lady Bengal's offense, going 7-for-16 from the field while also sinking 77% of her free throws attempted.  She finished with 24.
Jaleya Gold (Bolton HS) put up 14 points and lead the team., along with 
Sydney Hayden (Holden HS) in rebounding with nine boards each.  Gold also blocked two shots. Hayden finished with six points.
Becca Brooks (Sulphur HS) sank four three-pointers, three in a row in the second period and scored 14 points.
The Lady Bengals fell to 7-12 on the season.
