EUNICE, La. – For the first time in both teams' histories, the LSU Eunice soccer programs are set to host postseason games on campus this Friday, November 1. The men's and women's teams will be the site of the Region 23 Championships.
The women's game is set for a 4:00PM start time, while the men's game will get underway at 7:00PM from the Bengals Soccer Complex.
Both LSUE soccer teams enter the postseason ranked, with the women checking in at 11th and the men placed 5th in the most recent NJCAA Division I Top 20 polls.
The LSUE women enter the postseason with a record of 13-2-1, including its most recent a victory, a 2-1 overtime decision at Blinn. The Bengals are led by a defense that is ranked 10th in the nation in shut outs with nine clean sheets.
Ian McGimsey's team will face the winner of Tuesday's MACJC Championship Game, pitting Holmes and Itawamba. The Bengals defeated Holmes 2-0 earlier this season and have never faced Itawamba.
The LSUE men, meanwhile, take an 11-game win streak into the postseason to go along with a 14-1 record. Josh McReynolds's team is led by striker Noah Wagner. The sophomore is enjoying a breakout season, scoring 25 goals which ranks 2nd in the nation.

The reigning Region 23 champions will face off with either Mississippi Gulf Coast or Jones College. The Bengals defeated both teams earlier this season and a game against Jones would be a rematch of last year's penalty kick Region 23 title game thriller won by LSUE.
Admission for the games is five dollars for adults while all students and children under 12 get in free. The games will also be live streamed through LSUEBengals.net on Bengals All-Access.
