EUNICE, La. – LSU Eunice Men's Soccer has placed two members on the 2021 NJCAA Division I All-American team, it was announced on Tuesday.  The duo of Elie Bokota (Atlanta, GA, Clarkston HS) and Obeng Tabi (Montreal, Quebec, Canada, Evangeline HS) were named to the prestigious list.
 
Bokota, a midfielder, is on the first team while Tabi, a defender, is on the third team.
 
This marks the second straight season LSUE has landed a pair of student-athletes on the NJCAA All-American team.  It's also three consecutives years that the Bengals have a first-team All-American, joining Iowa Western and Tyler JC as the only schools in the country to accomplish that feat.
 
Bokota was a starter in all 16 games for the Bengals this season, tallying five goals and 11 points, both second on the team.  The holding midfielder was a dominant box-to-box presence for the Bengals, helping LSUE record six clean sheets during the season.
 
The Georgia native was also named to the United Soccer Coaches All-American team.
 
Tabi was LSU Eunice's left back, starting 14 games.  The Canadian import assisted on three goals in 2021 while helping the Bengals defense rank 17th nationally in goals against average (1.04).
 
LSU Eunice just wrapped another National Tournament appearance, finishing the campaign 8-6-2.
