EUNICE, La. – LSU Eunice Men's Soccer will play a 15-game regular season beginning with a home contest on Thursday, August 20. The Bengals home opener is one of eight home matches on the Cajun Prairie this season.
LSU Eunice will play three preseason tune-ups with the team reporting to campus next week. The Bengals welcome LSU Shreveport (August 7) and LSU Alexandria (August 11) before heading out for its final exhibition at Louisiana Christian (August 14).
The Bengals' season opening tilt against Pearl River is one of three non-conference games. LSU Eunice heads to Mississippi Gulf Coast on Tuesday, September 1 and host Hill College on Friday, September 4.
LSUE is once again playing as an auxiliary member of the Texas-based conference in Region 14. The Bengals begin league play with games against North Division teams beginning with a Texas road trip at Paris (August 27) and Northeast Texas (August 29). Tyler (September 11) and Jacksonville (September 12) will come to town to close out intra-divisional play.
LSU Eunice shifts its focus to the South Division with home-and-home contests against Texas Southmost College, Coastal Bend College, Blinn College, and Angelina College. The Bengals play all four on the road before closing out the regular season with home games against Texas Southmost (October 9), Coastal Bend (October 13), Blinn (October 16), and Angelina (October 23).
The postseason kicks off the following week with the Region 14/23 Quarterfinals on Saturday, October 31. The highest seed hosts in each of the three rounds, culminating with the tournament championship on Sunday, November 8. The winner receives an automatic berth into the NJCAA Division I Men's Soccer National Tournament in Wichita, Kansas that runs November 15-21.
