EUNICE, La. – LSU Eunice Men's Soccer closed out the home portion of the 2023 regular season in style with a 7-0 runaway victory over Dallas Christian College on Wednesday at the Bengals Soccer Complex. The Bengals (12-0-1) finished 5-0 on the Cajun Prairie, going unblemished at home in the last three seasons.
LSUE was quick out of the gates posting a 5-0 lead at intermission.
Yvan-Noel Muenyi (Baton Rouge, LA, Baton Rouge Magnet HS) kicked off the scoring in the first five minutes after a next book through ball by
Peyton Foreman (Lafayette, LA, Southside HS) to set up the easy goal.
Jose Luis Bustamante (Bogota, Colombia, Colegio Andino) would net back-to-back goals off a 25th minute header and penalty kick two minutes later.
Axel Daniel Quintero Agurcia (Denham Springs, LA, Denham Springs HS) and

William Saar (Monrovia, Liberia, Armstrong HS (Minn.)) added two more goals to give the Bengals the 7-0 victory.
The LSUE back line continued its season long dominance despite being overshadowed on the stat sheet. The Bengals produced their nation's best ninth shutout of the season as
Zachary Clary (Pensacola, FL, Tate HS) bumped his save percentage a little more, also tops in the country, with four saves on the match.
Bronson Paus (Arlington, TX, James Martin HS) subbed in the second half and kept the clean sheet intact.
LSUE closes out the regular season with another matchup against a NJCAA ranked opponent, traveling to Western Texas. The Bengals and Westerners meet at noon in Snyder, Texas.
