EUNICE, LA – LSU Eunice Men's Soccer produced a 2-2 draw with Paris JC on Friday at the Bengal Soccer Complex. The Bengals (5-2-1) overcame a deficit to take a momentary lead before the Dragons were able to equalize.
After a scoreless first half that saw several goal scoring opportunities for both sides, Paris struck first with a 53rd minute tally.
Dillon Trimble (Sugar Land, TX, Stephen F. Austin HS) would give LSUE the lead with two goals separated by five minutes. Trimble tapped in a goal in the 59th minute after
Marven Michel (Saint-Constant, Quebec, Canada, Longueuil College Francais) tapped a
Santiago Waites (Birmingham, AL, Oak Mountain HS) cross right to the sophomore for the finish. Trimble headed in the go-ahead goal with a beautiful service by Waites to the back side.
The Dragons knotted things back up in the 78th minute with a cross and header finish.
Landon Sorrell (Monroe, LA, Neville HS) grabbed 10 saves in the game while the Bengals fired off seven shots on target.
