Bengals Land Pair of NJCAA Baseball All-Americans

EUNICE, La. – The LSU Eunice Baseball duo of Alec Beversdorf (Seabrook, TX, Clear Falls HS) and Tyson LeBlanc (Maurice, LA, North Vermilion HS) are the latest to etch their names in the Bengals' history books as the pair were named to the 2025 NJCAA Division I Baseball All-American team, the organization announced on Wednesday.  Beversdorf was named to the second team, while LeBlanc was a third-team honoree on the 54-man squad.

Their All-American recognition gives LSU Eunice Baseball 40 awardees of the designation in program history.  It's the ninth time in LSUE's history that it has had multiple All-Americans in the same season and the third straight season the Bengals have landed a member on the squad.

"These two young men competed at a very high level for us for two years and are very deserving of their All-American recognition," LSU Eunice Baseball head coach Jeff Willis said.  "While their statistics speak for themselves, I am most proud of their character and work ethic – they exemplify the DDCS mantra we have as the foundation of our program."

Beversdorf served as the Bengals' Friday night ace during the 2025 season, finishing with an 11-0 record – the fourth most wins in the entire nation.  The right hander posted a 3.61 earned run average while tallying 83 strikeouts in 15 starts this season.  He would allow one earned run or less in 11 of his 17 outings this season, tossing one complete game vs. SAU Tech.

For his LSUE career, Beversdorf is ranked eighth all-time in program history strikeouts with 173 while also finishing Top 10 in complete games (6) and shutouts (3) during his time on the Cajun Prairie.

LeBlanc enjoyed another stellar season, starting in 57 of the team's 58 games at shortstop.  The two-year every day starter led the LSUE offense in almost every offensive category – hits (80), runs batted in (65), runs (71), doubles (19), triples (5), home runs (11), stolen bases (39), and slugging percentage (.683).  He enjoyed a team-high 24 multi-hit games and 16 multi-RBI contests while also producing a season-long 37-game streak of reaching base safely.

He leaves campus after rewriting much of the LSUE history books, finishing in the Top 10 of 12 separate offensive career categories.  His 132 runs batted in eclipsed a 15-year old record set by Gabriel Thibodeaux in 2010.

LSUE went 53-5 during the 2025 campaign, eclipsing the 50-win plateau for a third straight season and the 13th time under head coach Jeff Willis.  In their first year as a Division I institution, the Bengals would spend four weeks ranked as the number one team in the nation.  Under head coach Jeff Willis, LSUE has spent at least one week ranked as the number one team in the nation in 18 of his 23 seasons.
