EUNICE, La. – LSU Eunice Men's Soccer only need a late first half goal and let its defense carry the load in a 1-0 home win on Tuesday over Texas Southmost.  The Bengals (5-1-1) tallied their third one-score victory of the season and their fourth shutout of the year.
 
Juan Arrieta (Bogotá, Colombia, Colegio Americano de Bogotá) netted his first goal of the season after the Bengals forced a turnover in the Texas Southmost half with Arietta using an Arnold Cruz (Monroe, LA, Neville HS) assist in the game winner.
 
LSUE would control the majority of possession in the contest with William Panter (Northampton, England, Campion School) only needing to make three stops to record the clean sheet.  The Bengals fired off four shots on goal and 13 shots overall.
 
The Bengals continue a season-long four game homestand on Friday as LSU Eunice entertains Coastal Bend.  The conference matchup is set for a 6:00PM start time from the Bengal Soccer Complex.
