LSUE Lands Seven On All-LCCAC/Region 23 Team

WESTWEGO, La. – After capturing a second straight LCCAC championship, LSU Eunice secured a league-high seven spots on the 2026 All-LCCAC/Region 23 Team, announced today during the LCACC/Region 23 Tournament.  The Bengals selections are led by Aidan Mouton (Rayne, LA, Notre Dame HS), who is named the Louis "Rags" Scheuermann Most Valuable Player.

Joining Mouton on the team are Andrew Clapinski (Baton Rouge, LA, Catholic-Baton Rouge HS), Marshall Louque (Lutcher, LA, Lutcher HS), Mason Bordelon (Marksville, LA, Avoyelles Charter HS), Milan Obradovich (Tuscaloosa, AL, Northridge HS), Lane Fenske (New Iberia, LA, Catholic-New Iberia HS), and McCray Jacobs (Johnson City, TX, Johnson City HS).

Mouton, a now two-time All-LCCAC/Region 23 recipient, enjoyed another stellar season on the Cajun Prairie where he did a little bit of everything having seen time at four different positions.  The Rayne native led the team and is top 15 nationally in batting average (.461), runs scored (82), and stolen bases (37).  He's made seven appearances on the mound, recording a 1-1 record and 4.26 earned run average.

For his career, Mouton will go down as one of the most production offensive players in LSU Eunice history.  The Notre Dame HS product is Top 10 all-time in career marks for batting average, runs scored, hits, home runs, runs batted in, slugging percentage, walks, hit by pitch, on-base percentage, total bases, and stolen bases.

Andrew Clapinski is an instant impact player in 2026, leading the Bengals in hits (71), runs batted in (79), and doubles (18).  The freshman catcher is tied with Mouton for the team lead with 19 multi-hit games and is tops with 20 multi-RBI games.  Arguably his most impressive feat of the year came on April 11 when he became the first Bengal in five years to launch three home runs in a single game.

Marshall Louque is a steadying presence in the middle of the Bengals' order after being inserted as an every day starter nearly a month into the season.  The freshman is third on the team with a .393 batting average and is one of five players to have double digit home runs.  The Lutcher HS product has added 49 runs scored, 42 runs batted in, and 14 doubles.

Arguably the most dangerous power bat in the Region coming into the postseason, Mason Bordelon has been red hot during conference play.  The outfielder leads the team in LCCAC play with a. 429 batting average while producing 11 of his team's best 16 home runs during that stretch.  He was recently named NJCAA National Player of the Week after a five-home run weekend against Delgado.

Milan Obradovich has developed into a valuable asset for the Bengals, having spent time in the outfield, first base and his everyday position one year ago – catcher.  Obradovich is another dangerous power bat – currently second on the team and in the conference in runs batted in (66) and doubles (15).

Lane Fenske is the Bengals' Friday night ace, leading the team and nation with 13 wins this season.  The freshman has a team low 3.21 earned run average while also tossing four complete games.  Fenske has struck out 77 batters including a season-high 10 batters in an April 11 win over Nunez.

McCray Jacobs leads the Bengals with 19 appearances this season and is LSU Eunice's most trusted bullpen arm.  The southpaw is 4-0 this season with a 3.32 earned run average over 38 innings pitched.  Jacobs has an eye popping 40 strikeouts to only six walks this season and has not given up a run in 10 of his outings.  The sophomore shined in his lone start of the season, striking out 10 batters in an seven inning outing at Baton Rouge on April 19.
