EUNICE, La. – LSU Eunice Women's Soccer begins its upcoming season on August 22, the first of 14 regular season matches for the Bengals. LSUE will once again face a challenging schedule, featuring games against teams in last year's National Tournament and another that was a District Finalist.
The Bengals report to training camp at the end of this month for four preseason exhibitions beginning Thursday, August 6 at McNeese State. LSUE faces two more NCAA Division I opponents, Northwestern State (August 8) and Southern (August 11), before closing out the tune-ups at LSU Alexandria on Friday, August 14. All four preseason games are on the road.
LSUE's season opener on Saturday, August 22 against Western Texas College is the first of three games in the Lone Star State to begin the season. The Bengals open up conference play with a weekend at Paris Junior College (August 27) and Northeast Texas Community College (August 29).
A tough three-game stretch begins the home portion of the schedule – with consecutive games against National Tournament opponents in Trinty Valley Community College (September 3), Navarro College (September 6), and Tyler Junior College (September 11). Jacksonville College on Saturday, September 12 rounds out the season-long four game homestand and LSUE's stint against Region 14 North Division opponents.
LSU Eunice shifts its focus to the South Division with home-and-home contests against Texas Southmost College, Blinn College, and Angelina College. The Bengals play all three on the road before closing out the regular season with home games against Texas Southmost (October 9), Blinn (October 16), and Angelina (October 23). LSUE steps outside of conference play once, with a neutral site game in Alabama on Friday, October 2 against Southeast District finalist USC Lancaster.
The postseason begins on Tuesday, October 27 with three rounds of action in the Region 14/23 Tournament followed by a District Championship game against the winner of Region 5 on Saturday, November 7. The district champion receives an automatic berth into the NJCAA Division I Women's Soccer National Tournament on November 15-21 in Evans, Georgia.
The Bengals enter the new year after going 8-5-5 during the 2025 campaign. LSUE scored results against three nationally ranked teams including a win against No. 20 Ranger College late in the season.
Head Coach Courtney Murdoch enters her fourth year atop the helm with the Bengals and welcomes three key returners at all levels of the formation. Goalkeeper Catherine Beckman is back in net after starting all 17 games last year and will be strengthened by the return of All-Region center back Ardnis Olafsdottir. Madison Paujaud will lead the attack after scoring six goals in her freshman season.
