MT. PLEASANT, Texas. – LSU Eunice Women's Soccer turned up the heat on the offensive end, blowing past Northeast Texas CC in a 6-0 road win on Saturday.  The Bengals (3-0) are off to their best start in program history with three straight victories to begin the year.
 
LSUE were on the board quickly, using a sixth minute goal to take the lead for good.  Loola Fermon (Valenciennes, France, Lycée Henri Darras) scored the first of her afternoon brace, receiving a pass down the far side channel from Ella Stewart (Linlithgow, Scotland, Linlithgow Academy).  Fermon launched a long-range shot from around 20 yards away that went over the goalkeeper's head in the back corner.
 
The Bengals added another goal in the first half thanks to a nice build up in the 32nd minute.  Greta Bailey (Perth, Australia, St. Mary's Anglican Girls School) played Mallory Dupre (Houma, LA, Covenant Christian Academy) through on the right side past the Eagles' back line, feed back to a cutting Lucie Quivron (Rennes, France, Lycee Brequigny) who finished for her first goal of the year.
 
Ella Stewart got the scoring going in the second half, capitalizing on a poor clearance by the Northeast Texas goalkeeper, stealing the ball and flicking in a 49th minute goal.  Fermon added her second goal of the day in the 67th minute, beating a defender and unleashing a rocket in the near side top corner.
 
The goal of the match may have come from Trinity Spence (Zachary, LA, Zachary HS) in the 75th minute, as the freshman uncorked a left footed shot from nearly 25 yards away.  Fellow freshman Mallory Dupre capped the scoring, putting away her own rebound after getting loose past the Eagles' back line.
 
Catherine Beckman (Walker, LA, Walker HS) and Hannah Vaillant (Poitiers, France, Lycée Marguerite de Valois) split time in net during the victory.  Beckman faced one shot on goal while Vaillant would corral four saves in the second half.
 
LSU Eunice plays its first home games of the year, welcoming a pair of nationally ranked teams to the Cajun Prairie.  The Bengals host Trinity Valley on Thursday with a 4:00PM kick off before taking on Navarro College on Sunday, August 6 at 10:00AM.  Both games are at the Bengal Soccer Complex.
