The Bengals threatened in the bottom of the second when
Anthony Forte (Hoffman Estates, Il.) singled and stole second but he was left stranded at third base.
Southwest Tennessee added two more runs in the top of the fifth inning, begun when Nate Sumner and Barrett Taylor singled before Ethan Stallings walked to load the bases.

Gavin Bourgeois (Church Point, La.) was hit by pitch to plate Hebert but the Bengals left the bases loaded, trailing 4-2.
LSUE closed the gap to 4-3 in the bottom of the seventh when Bourgeois was hit by a pitch, stole second and scored on a hit by Feduccia.
Southwest Tennessee added a run in the top of the eighth inning when Hampson walked and was replaced by Johnson, who scored on a pair of Bengal errors.
LSUE forced a 5-5 tie with two runs in the bottom of the eighth, begun when Forte walked,
Cameron Horton (Benton, La.) was hit by a pitch and they both advanced on a wild pitch.
Koi Westbrook (Carencro, La.) singled in Forte, while Horton scored on a Salquis double play to help set up the final inning heroics.
