BRENHAM, Texas – LSU Eunice could not penetrate a tough Blinn College defense as a late Buccaneer goal upended the Bengals 1-0 on Friday at Cub Stadium.  LSUE (2-2-1) had more than a week off of action as it embarks on a four-game Texas road swing.
 
LSU Eunice enjoyed possession for the majority of the first half as the Bucs were content to pack it on the defensive end.  The Bengals could not connect in the final third as the slick turf created some troubles in linking up.
 
Both sides sloshed through the first half that saw the Bengals outshoot Blinn 4-1 in shots on goal through the first 45 minutes.
 
The Bucs, however, would net the only goal of the game.  Lexington Kneedler lofted a long distanced high arcing shot that floated past the outstretched arms of Shannon Hellina.
 
The Bengals would have a few offensive opportunities to equalize but could not convert.
 
LSUE will continue its Texas trip on Tuesday, April 27 at Jacksonville College.
