RANGER, Tx. – LSU Eunice Men's Soccer netted a pair of first half goals and never looked back, defeating Ranger College 2-0 on the road on Sunday. The Bengals (4-3) notched their third straight victory, outscoring opponents in those contests 13-0.
The Bengals went right to work against the Rangers, notching a goal in the fifth minute. After drawing a foul in the corner,
Elie Bokota (Atlanta, GA, Clarkston HS) lifted a short free kick into the box and connected with
Siddiq Lezzar (Houston, TX, The Woodlands College Park HS). It was the freshman's first goal of his collegiate career.
LSUE would add an insurance goal in the 30th minute, as a pair of Baton Rouge area natives linked up for a goal.
Axel Daniel Quintero Agurcia (Denham Springs, LA, Denham Springs HS) would connect with
Jacob Agazzi (Zachary, LA, Zachary HS), who would rifle in his first Bengal goal.
That was all the goalkeeping tandem of
Eddie Roberts (Alexandria, LA, Holy Savior Menard) and
Jakob Morales (Mandeville, LA, Northlake Christian HS) would need as the duo would each grab a pair of saves.
The Bengals would outshoot Ranger College 5-4 on frame as LSUE would fire off 15 shots total.
LSUE will head back out to Texas next week as the Bengals square off with Blinn College on Tuesday, September 27.
