RIDGELAND, Ms. – LSU Eunice Women's Soccer put up a strong fight early but could not withstand a second half surge from Holmes College as the Bengals fell 8-0 on Wednesday.  LSUE (5-5-1) enters its regular season finale at Western Texas on Saturday needing at least a tie to qualify for the South District Tournament.
 
Holmes would get an early goal in the 12th minute while the Bengals would hold the Bulldogs temporarily, trailing 1-0 at intermission.  The tide would turn after the break as Holmes would get loose for seven goals in the second half.
 
Hannah May (Gonzales, LA, East Ascension HS) performed admirably under constant duress, collecting 18 saves off Holmes' 36 shots, 27 going on frame. 
 
The Bengals' pivotal matchup at Western Texas College is slated to begin at 10:00AM on Saturday.
