LSUE Pushes No. 5 Daytona State To Limit

PANAMA CITY, FL – For a second straight game, LSU Eunice Women's Soccer took a Top 5 NJCAA team to the limit as the Bengals fell short 1-0 to No. 5 Daytona State College on Friday at Publix Sports Park.  The setback ended a five-game road swing for the Bengals (1-4-1).

LSU Eunice withstood an offensive barrage from the Falcons as Daytona State fired 27 shots in the contest.  Anais Coyne (Mansfield, TX, Mansfield Legacy HS) corralled 11 saves, giving up a 38th goal as the only blemish for the Bengals.

Olivia Stanford (Lafayette, LA, Comeaux HS) was able to fire off the lone shot on frame for LSUE, coming in the second half.

The Bengals return home for a pair of games this week on the Cajun Prairie, beginning Sunday against East Mississippi CC.
