ENID, Oklahoma – LSU Eunice Women's Soccer saw its season come to an end after a 2-0 setback to Rose State College in the South District Semifinals on Friday. The Bengals ended the regular season with an 8-4-1 record.
LSU Eunice gave the Raiders all it could handle early, taking a scoreless draw into intermission. The Bengals had a few goal scoring opportunities, putting eight shots on frame in the contest.
Rose State would finally get in the scoring column with a 66th minute goal after a defensive breakdown that saw a Raider attacker run past the Bengals' last line of defense. The Raiders added an insurance goal just two minutes later.
Anais Coyne (Mansfield, TX, Mansfield Legacy HS) tallied eight saves in the losing effort.
The Bengals eight wins this season are the third most in the program's seven year history.
