LSUE Women's Soccer Set For 2025 Campaign

EUNICE, La. – LSU Eunice Women's Soccer embarks on an 18-game schedule this year for the 2025 season with seven contests at the Bengal Soccer Complex.  LSUE's eighth season of competition and third under the direction of head coach Courtney Murdoch begins on Sunday, August 24 against Columbia State Community College.

The Bengals have four preseason exhibitions before the start of the campaign, starting on Tuesday, August 5 at home against Southern University.  LSUE will also have tune-ups at Xavier-New Orleans (August 9), LSU Alexandria (August 13), and Jones College (August 16).

The 2025 season begins a new yet familiar format for the Bengals, rejoining Region 14 as scheduling partners for the first time in five years.  LSUE will play in the South District of Region 14 with home-and-home contests Blinn College, Angelina College, and Texas Southmost College.

After a season opening road weekend in Meridian, Mississippi against Columbia State CC and Meridian CC (August 25), the Bengals open Region 14 play at home with a weekend at the Bengal Soccer Complex against Paris JC (August 29) and Northeast Texas CC (August 31).  LSUE will then embark on a season long four-game road swing at Trinity Valley CC (September 5), Navarro College (September 7), Tyler JC (September 12), and Jacksonville College (September 13).

LSUE steps outside of conference play with a road weekend in the Sunshine State with two games in Pensacola, Florida against Pensacola State College (September 18) and Southern Union State CC (September 20).  The Bengals will also have non-conference home contests with Cisco College (October 12) and Ranger College (October 19).

Conference play wraps up with home-and-home games against the South Division, welcoming Texas Southmost College (September 16), Blinn College (September 27), and Angelina College (October 7) before playing return road trips later in October.

The Bengals went 8-4-1 a year ago that saw LSUE enter the national polls.  LSUE would reach the district tournament semifinals for a second straight season.  Six regular starters return from the 2024 squad, including second-leading point scorer Emily Poste and the defensive duo of Luna Kullas and Marta Gonzalez.

After two years of LSUE's postseason path going through the Oklahoma and Arkansas-based Region 2, the Bengals will play in the Region 14 Tournament with the winner taking on the West Texas-based Region 5 for the South Central District Championship and an automatic berth into the NJCAA Division I Women's Soccer National Tournament.

The national tournament will be held November 17-22 in Enid, Oklahoma at the Advance Soccer Complex.
