EUNICE, La. – LSU Eunice's
Payton Prince (Sulphur, LA, Sulphur HS) has been named to the 2026 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-American team for NJCAA Division II, the organization announced on Tuesday. Prince, an All-South Region selection by the NFCA, was named to the second team as an outfielder.
This is Prince's second year of earning All-American accolades, becoming just the seventh student-athlete in LSU Eunice Softball history to receive an All-American nod in both years on the Cajun Prairie. The Sulphur HS product was a second-team All-American selection by the NFCA last year, as well.
"Payton is the epitome of what we want our young women to become while being a student-athlete at LSU Eunice," LSU Eunice Softball Head Coach Meghan Collins said. "She has worked incredibly hard on the field and in the classroom and demands excellence in everything she does."
Prince, an outfielder selection, caps off one of the most successful careers in the last decade of LSUE softball. The McNeese State signee finishes her career on the Cajun Prairie ranked in the top 10 in both home runs (31) and stolen bases (91). During the 2026 season, Prince led the LSU Eunice offense in runs (61), hits (62), doubles (12), home runs (18), runs batted in (63), hit by pitch (14), batting average (.425), slugging percentage (.918), and on-base percentage (.514).
She ranked in the Top 25 nationally in slugging percentage, stolen bases, hit by pitch, and home runs. Prince also paced the squad with 22 multi-hit contests and 18 multi-RBI games. While a force on the offensive end, defense is where she really shined – committing just one error in 104 chances.
Prince earns the 45th All-American designation in LSU Eunice softball history and is the ninth All-American under head coach Meghan Collins.
