Biography

Prior to College: A native of Basile, La., Ramirez attended St. Edmund’s Catholic High School, where she competed in basketball, indoor/outdoor track, cross country and tennis for the Blue Jays. She was named All-State in cross country as a junior and senior and finished third overall in the State Track Championships in the 3200-meter run. On the court, Ramirez was named an All-District player as a senior. Off the court, she was a member of the National Honor Society and was a part of the Campus Ministry. The youngest of two children with an older brother, Ramirez chose to come to LSU Eunice because “this town is pretty much like home to me and I knew what LSU Eunice could offer.”
