After two scoreless innings, LSUE (31-8) scored three runs in the third begun when Mima Doucet (Notre Dame HS) doubled with two outs and then Rebecca Skains (West Ouachita HS) hit a home run to push the Lady Bengals ahead, 2-0.
 
Jordan Bishop (Newton County HS) singled and pinch runner Mary Guillory (St. Louis Catholic HS) stole third and scored on an error to increase the Lady Bengals' margin to 3-0.
 
LSUE put the game out of reach in the sixth inning, begun when Bobbi Smith (West Ouachita HS) and Emily Henderson (North Desoto HS) singled while Haley Godeaux (Cecilia HS) reached on an error to load the bases.
 
Doucet walked to plate Smith, while Hannah Vidallier (North Vermillion HS) singled in Henderson and Godeaux for a 5-0 advantage.
 
Molly Wilson (Castor HS) hit a sacrifice fly to score Doucet as the Lady Bengals rally continued.
 
Malancon singled in Skains (walk) and Vidallier to push LSUE ahead, 9-0.
 
Skains went 2-for-2 with a walk, a RBI and two runs scored, while Malancon finished 2-for-3 with two RBI.
